Bio
Bronwyn is a former Saskatchewan Member of the Legislative Assembly (2016-2024) and provincial minister of Energy and of Justice and Attorney-General (2016-2024). During her time in government, she was involved in high-profile policy, regulatory and legislative initiatives in energy, environmental, and constitutional areas. She was a strong advocate for provincial constitutional rights and prominent promoter of Saskatchewan’s resource-based economy.
She also served as minister of advanced education, education, status of women, and minister of SaskEnergy and SaskWater.
In March, 2026, she was awarded the inaugural Cartier-Macdonald award by the Canadian Constitution Foundation for being a “prominent national voice on the proper balance between legislatures and courts within Canada’s constitutional framework” and for demonstrating “personal courage in defending democratic self-government and parliamentary supremacy.”
A graduate of McGill and the University of Saskatchewan (BA Hons, JD), Bronwyn was a legal journalist with UK-based Commercial Lawyer Magazine, a university lecturer, radio broadcaster, and school board trustee. She speaks German, French, and Italian.
She is now a columnist, podcaster, and senior fellow with MEI (Montreal Economic Institute) and the Aristotle Foundation and is returning to the practice of law. In her downtime, she loves to read, travel and hang with her family. She is based in Saskatoon, SK.
