Bio
Mark worked in politics and government for over 10 years, including 2 years as a regional organizer for the United Conservative Party, followed by 3 years as Chief of Staff to Minister Ric McIver at Transportation and Municipal Affairs. He recently spent over 2 years as Director of Nominations at the UCP, tasked with running all manner of elections, including the 2022 Leadership Review and subsequent Leadership Election, 2023 nomination contests, elections at UCP AGMs, and the 2024 Leadership Review.
He started law school studies at the University of Alberta in 2020. He graduated in 2024 with Distinction and on the Dean’s List for his final year, receiving the Edward E Bishop prize in Securities Law and the Cruickshank Karvellas prize in Taxation. He started at Blue Rock Law in June 2024.
Mark was born in Toronto, for which he apologizes every day, and raised in Edmonton. He enjoys all the typical Canadiana experiences like skating and hockey, skiing, hiking, and complaining about the weather and traffic.
